"The Campeche Fan" – an elegant fan, originally created by the furniture & craft objects studio Lordag & Sontag, the design eventually trickled its way through the artisian communities. Hand-made by artisans in the small town of Campeche, they are woven out of Jipijapa, a natural fiber made from the straw from the Carloduvica Palmata and fastened on a hand-carved, poilished and sealed circular dark wooden handle.
It is a perfect example of ancient weaving techniques coupled with modern design, making it a perfect curated product for By Madre.
This very style was offered as a gift at the founder's own wedding. An ideal hostess or bridal gift, they were also intended as the perfect gift or party favor for a group dinner, bachelorette, bridesmaid, or wedding.
